Fairfield Native Bob Link Brings Home The Gold!

Outstanding Video Honored

September 30, 2005 --

“One Child At A Time”, a video produced by Bob Link of Advanced Video Data Services in Fairfield, Ohio has been announced as the second place winner in the 2005 Telly Award competition.  The video tells the story of the Children’s Home of Cincinnati and it’s vast history in the community.  On camera program host, Cammy Dierking of Channel 12 News, leads the viewer through The Children’s Home’s many changes as it adapted to the needs of each generation and provides a visual tour of the facilities.

Producer Bob Link, owner of Advanced Video Data Services said, “The history is fascinating.”  “From their humble beginnings to their humbling presence today, The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is molding today’s youth for tomorrow’s society”, Link added.

The video begins with a custom produced song and music score performed by Fairfield High School graduate Vanessa Edmonds-Nicely.  Nicely sets the mood for the video’s theme.  “She has a tone that really moves the viewer”, Link added.

A special recognition was held during a dinner for the Telly Award win at TCHC campus on Saturday, August 27, 2005.  Over 500 guests were in attendance including Cammy Dierking, Anthony Munoz and Ken Blackwell as well as TCHC board members and employees.  Trophies were awarded to Cammy, Stacie Sills of the Children’s Home and Bob Link.

The Telly Awards established in 1978 by David E. Carter, a past Emmy and Clio award winner, to honor excellence in television programming.  The Telly is one of the most sought after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies.  Each year over 10,000 entries are received.  Only 7-10% of those entries are deemed as the highest of quality and earn the coveted Silver Award.

Advanced Video Data Services was founded in 1987 by Mr. Link, a displaced auto worker from  the former Fisher Body plant in Fairfield.  AVDS, 5292 Old Gilmore Road in Fairfield, Ohio, is a full video production facility which produces corporate videos, training videos, promotional videos, commercials, infomercials, photo tributes and movie film conversions.  This win is Link’s 9th Telly win and puts him in the company of other winners such as ABCNEWS.com, Discovery Kids, E! Network, Harpo Productions, Inc. Fox Sports, Miramax Films, MSNBC and The History Channel.  Bob can be reached by phone at (513) 874-4100 for additional information.
